Who needs baby toys?

Faith certainty doesn't! She just discovered the door stop thing this morning and has been doing this for the last 25 min:

After that gets boring, there is always baby enjoyment to be had in annoying the dog:

It's good that Peanut is such a patient dog. It helps that she's not the sharpest tool in the shed. It takes her a minute or two to even compute that the baby is touching her. :)

Most of the D.C. area got pummeled with snow last night, except for southern MD (woohoo for living by the water!). This is all the snow we got, and they still canceled school here!

I decided to order some Gu off Amazon for my half marathon on Sat. and future marathon training runs. I got Gu Roctane because I don't normally drink anything caffeinated, so it will have a strong effect on me! I know you're not supposed to try anything new on a race day, but what can I say, I'm a rebel :)

I'm on the fence about my workout today. I feel like running, but it's not baby friendly weather outside (and my BOB weather shield STILL hasn't even been shipped). I might just stick to hot yoga tonight and hold of running so I'm super fresh on Saturday. Speaking of Saturday, they got a LOT more snow up where the race is held. It's held in a park on a gravel road, so there is a strong possibility I'll be running in wet snow on Saturday. Anyone have tips on how to avoid blisters while running 13 miles in wet socks?

  2. Faith is so cute-my mom used to say she could put me anywhere and i'd entertain myself!
Pick up a runners chafing stick-I forgot what they're called but it looks like a deodorant stick and works like a charm-I lathered up EVERYWHERE to prevent anything from happening!

  3. Good advice! I have Body Glide (the stick you referred to) and I usually put Vaseline on my feet, but I still think wet socks will make me get new blisters that I don't normally get. Oh well, I guess that will make it interesting :)

  5. She is so cute!!!!! I'd say use body glide, but I don't know if it will really help with wet socks. It helps with chaffing from a sports bra though. Good luck on your half!!
