Faith wants Peanut to play!

If you ever met Peanut in real life, you'd be shocked to know that she's actually really lazy in the house. Outside she bounces around and seems really hyper, but this is much closer to the truth. Although for anyone out there thinking about getting a hound, it took over 2 years of insanity to get this point, just FYI. :)

At noon today, I'm drawing the winner of the Ella's Kitchen organic baby food giveaway! You still have time to enter, see this post

Faith was up with teething issues again last night, so at 3am I was up giving her more Motrin and pretty much as soon as I was able to fall back asleep, my husband's alarm went off. At least today is my rest day from running, so I can try to squeeze a nap in one of Faith's nap times instead of trying to run then. My  husband has class tonight, so he'll be home after Faith's bedtime, so that makes it a long day for me.

Lenten Challenge update: I suck. I"m probably only doing the cleaning thing 3 or 4 days out of the week. I refuse to give up on it though, so I'm just going to keep trying. It's funny that on the days that I do actually clean something (like vacuum) are the days that I ignore the sink full of dishes. :)

I think it's much harder to add something to your day than give it up! What do you think, would it be easier for you to add something or give it up?

  1. That just shows you're doing a really great job with exercising Peanut so he gets to burn off his excess energy! Now if only I could run like you and run the crap out of Lucy, she might not be driving us all bananas! The builders across the street are getting a nice morning welcome as we speak :-D

Are the new teeth poking through yet? Poor little dear (and Mommy too!). I can never fall back asleep right away, it always takes forever. Cameron has my sleep so screwed up that he slept through the night last night and I hardly slept a wink. I should add that I went to bed at 8:45 completely exhausted and thought I would konk out immediately. Nope. Pffffft!

  2. So far, it's just the 5 teeth that are already out. Her little gums are swollen, so it's hard to tell if another is out yet, but it's on its way!

  3. Totally agree--if you're giving something up, add something. Or better yet, just add something!

  4. Like your dog, I am also very lazy. It would definitely be easier for me to give something up than to add something new to my schedule.

  8. cleaning the vacuum makes flaking on the dishes OK. Trust me. Don't ever tell me it doesn't either. my world may crumble! =)

  9. I just happened to stumble on your blog and I was surprised to see your dog peanut! He looks JUST like our dog! I'm talking- they could be twins- down to the same couch position. Too cute. Ours is still crazy but he's slowing down. I have to take him on bike rides every day or he's a nut! :-)

  10. Only 2 years? My hound mixes are at 3.5 and no sign of slowing down.

I'm really struggling with giving something up, but I think adding something would also be incredibly hard for me because there just aren't enough hours in the day!
