The only person who wants to hug me after a run

If you're on the ground, you must want to play, right?
Hats are so funny
I went for a great 4 mile run this morning (38 minutes, 9:32 pace) and it was a good confidence builder for next week because I felt like I could have kept running forever (well, not literally, but you know what I mean). Slowing down my pace makes a huge difference and my goal for next week is to do the first 13 miles at that pace. I know I can run faster than that, but I'd rather go slower in the beginning and have extra gas in the tank for the end of the race!

Peanut came with me on my run this morning, but not Faith because I thought it might start raining. We saw an awesome bald eagle and it was so close. I never knew bald eagles ate road kill until I moved here, but since I've seen it with my own eyes on more than one occasion, I can vouch that bald eagles love to munch on dead deer.

Bambi is tasty
I have some wild afternoon plans of going to Target and then eating random things I found in the freezer for dinner. We have a lot of odds and ends in the freezers (yes, we have two), so I think we need to try to incorporate that stuff into dinners this week. Motivation? To make room for more ice cream in the freezer!

Tomorrow's post will be the story of how I met my husband!

  1. ooooo I can't wait till your post about how you guys met. Everyone always asks how my husband (US soldier boy) and a Canadian English teacher ended up meeting in South Korea at a chicken stand and got married a few months later....

  3. That is so cute. True love is someone who wants to hug you even after a long sweaty run.
