For the first time in four or five days, I didn't have to get up in the night to give Faith Tylenol or Motrin for her teething pain. Sleeping until 6am felt pretty good! Faith was pulling at one of her ears yesterday, so I'm watching her this morning to see if she's still doing it. I'm not positive that she wasn't just pulling at her ear because she put a handful of her morning oatmeal in her ear yesterday morning and that stuff is hard to clean up. If she's still pulling at her ear today (after a bath last night), then we'll try to get her into see the doctor today and check for ear issues.

The weather this week looks good for running and my goal for this week is speedwork. My next race is on April 10th and since my previous 10 mile time is 1:27 (8:45 average), I'm going to need to concentrate on speedwork a LOT to beat that. Actually, I had a really good race the day I got that 1:27 and I'm not I'll ever beat that time, but I like the idea of trying. :)

Peanut's life is about to get a little bit harder. I noticed in the pictures that I took of her this weekend that she's looking a little....fluffy....around the middle. The medicine that she takes to stop her from having seizures makes it really easy for her to gain weight (it also makes her insatiably hungry and thirsty). A few months ago, she had been getting us up at 4am for breakfast (not cool) so we increased her dinner amount so we could sleep longer. Well, now I'm putting her back to one scoop of kibble at night and her joints will thank me, even if her stomach hates me.

I'm actually really excited to see the start of the new Dancing with the Stars tonight. I watch The Soup all the time, so I'm stoked to see what hilarity Wendy Williams will bring to the show. There are a lot of contestants on DWTS that I've never heard of before, but it's like that every season.
Do you watch Dancing with the Stars, or am I the only dork here?
Sleep certainly is beautiful.... Unfortunately I haven't seen any in 3 months! I'm super jealous of you! Hope faiths teeth and ears are okay today!!!
ReplyDeletePoor Faith--that must be miserable!
ReplyDeleteI tried to get into Dancing With the Stars... but I never could.
ReplyDeleteMy dog needs to go on a diet. I feed him the right amount but my husband always feeds him way more than he needs to and gives him so many treats during the day.
I like your new goal for races! I've never gotten into Dancing with the Stars...but then again, I have never actually sat down to watch it.
ReplyDeletemaybe she's pulling on her ears as some weird sort of baby-sign-language. It means "I want to puke on mommy".
ReplyDeleteSo glad you got some Zzz's!!!! I am not into dancing with the stars-if it's on i'll watch for a couple seconds but am not an avid fan...it would be dangerous if I found another tv obsession!
ReplyDeleteI love sleeping and an angry angry person when it gets interrupted.
ReplyDeleteI used to watch it but haven't in a few seasons now. Not a Kirstie fan though.
Yay for sleeping through the night! I still have no idea what that's like.
ReplyDeleteLol! I really enjoy catching Brian's comments on your posts :)
You're a very ambitious runner, and I'm quite impressed with you.
awwwww we had to implement a kitty cutback too... my husband's cat was getting beyond fluffy and downright pudgy! haha =)
ReplyDeleteHope the ear tugging stops! <3
