We have a Stage 5 Clinger on our hands here

Who here has seen Wedding Crashers? :)

I had a rough day with the baby yesterday (so if I didn't comment on your blog, I apologize). My normally squirmy "Put me down so I can play!" baby was so, so clingy. When she first started, I thought she must be hungry/cold/sick, but once I ruled those out, I realized she just wanted me to be holding her....all....day...long. Not just her sitting in my lap. Actually holding her. If I even tried to get her to sit next to me (while still touching), she'd start hyperventilating until I picked her back up. Once I was holding her, she was as happy as can be, so I don't think it was teething or something like that.

So as I result, I got basically nothing accomplished yesterday. Not saying that I'm normally doing rocket science around here in my down time, but I do usually read a book while Faith plays. Somehow reading a book makes me feel like I accomplished something. :)

I did make it to Kohl's for some baby stuff. Faith was ok with going in the car seat and was as quiet as a mouse in the store. Every time I go out, the most common statement I hear is "What a quiet and well behaved baby!" I always want to say "Yeah, you should see her raise hell at home". Although if I had to choose, I'd go for the baby that is bad in private, rather than public. We did find some really cute stuff at Kohl's yesterday:
PJs!
Rompers: Only acceptable for babies to wear
I don't know how 2 workout shirts fell into the cart
She's going to be the most fashionable baby on the block
I'm going to attempt my first post-marathon run this morning. I'm planning on taking it easy (and slow). There was a guy in my marathon who was doing 6 marathons in 16 days for some charity...I don't get that! Maybe your body gets used to the abuse after a while?

I don't know what it is about Subway, but after I had Faith and now after the marathon, it's all that I want! I had it last night for dinner and it was fantastic.

What fast food place do you crave the most often? I really crave Subway often, but they don't make McFlurries so I also crave McDonald's sometimes too. :P

  2. You are my hero for being able to play on the floor with Faith the day after the marathon! You have no idea how jealous I am right now - I want to read a book while watching my unbelievably adorable baby play, it sounds so much better than my typical day of trying to control a room full of 6 year olds while they throw chairs, scream at me, spit on the floor...you get the idea. I totally agree with you about the rompers, and the clothes you got for Faith are just too cute. I crave Wegmans subs like my life depends on it, and every so often hubby and I will be bad and get McFlurries...its been awhile though, we are clearly overdue!

  3. Such cute clothes!
My baby has been getting into a clingy phase lately too. It is impossible to get anything done but it is so sweet that she just wants to be held that I just love it too!

  5. Yup, your rock star status is officially set in stone being barely worse for wear & back to Mommy duty in full force after running a marathon! What a great role model you are for Faith :-)

You make me laugh every single day. You're the Mommy version of my buddy Amy (http://www.amysquesttoskinny.com/). The two of you are kindred spirits for sure - check her out if you don't already!

I have been a Subway addict for years. It's tapered off now, but I was a complete junkie. Better than crapola McD's I says!

  6. I crave Subway too but my husband hates it so we rarely rarely (if ever) get it :(

  10. You scored at Kohls!! I love Faith's new romper (yes, ONLY for babies!) and I love your long sleeved tee. Super cute!

I always feel frustrated with Isabelle is super clingy, but then I try to make myself appreciate the time, because soon enough, I'll be the one wanting her to slow down for cuddles.
