Mommy, I want a piggy back ride, not a stupid picture!
Cordelia isn't doing as well and is still under the weather. She was never seriously sick (just a 101 fever and clear runny nose), but a slight fever is lingering and it's kicking both of our butts.
Why are YOU complaining? I'm the sick one!
Anyway, even though Faith is doing better, I'm still running on fumes because Cordelia isn't sleeping well. I can't tell if she's not sleeping because she's sick or because of some larger sleep issue, but I guess it doesn't really matter. I like to tell myself it's just because she's sick so I don't have this reaction when she cries at 3am after being up at 12am and 2am.
It's funny that I was complaining that she was getting up every 3 hours at night and now I'd be excited if she slept for that long. Babies are all about teaching perspective.
How about I teach you to not block the TV?
I'm pretty sure my current IQ is only barely above the guideline for functional adult due to the lack of sleep. Just today I "lost" my access card to Faith's school and spent 30 minutes searching for it (it was in my car, where it always is) and I have no idea where my cell phone is at this exact time. This is why I can't have nice things.
Keep that in mind when I show you my latest parenting innovation: Have a toddler who won't stop picking at the broken skin around their chapped nose and lips? Kitten mittens, but for toddlers!
Too bad it's not nearly as funny on a toddler.
What has that woman done to me?
What am I supposed to do with these things?
L.L.Bean? Really, Mommy...would it kill you to spring for some Baby Gap?
That kept her from picking at herself for a whole 15 minutes so now we're back to my incessant pestering of her to just freaking stop it already. It's OK, she can't hear my nagging over the near constant whining and fussing from the baby.
Basically, it's been one of those days when I should just email my husband in case he's expecting a clean house and hot dinner when he comes home tonight:
We are supposed to get 5-8 inches of snow tomorrow, but it's currently 52 degrees so I'm not a believer. But the storm has a name, so you know has to be legit.
What is your favorite winter storm name?
I'm really torn between Gandalf and Xerxes.
