I never really gave it much thought until I recently joined a gym (for the sweet, sweet childcare). I see people doing this "stretching" thing all the time and I seem to be the only one who just gets on the treadmill, runs, and then gets off and leaves. One of my friends went to a personal trainer recently and she was told that she should always do a walking warm-up before she starts to run. Who has time for that?? Well, really...who wants to waste time on that?
I've warmed up (haha get it?) to the idea of stretching because I had a "Duh!" moment when I realized that I could stretch while the kids were awake so I wouldn't cut into my running time. They think it's a fun game.
Besides, since I run 2-3 times a day, warm-ups and cool downs seem really silly to me. Half my time would be spent doing it!
OK, enough boring running talk. Here are pictures of Cordelia sneaking into the dishwasher. She's only done this once so far (I'm not encouraging it since we have a new dishwasher) but it was cute enough that I needed to take pictures before I moved her.
Chores are fun!
Wait, do I have put all of these dishes away?
I better get started.
Do you warm-up or cool down when you run? I usually go easy for half a mile or so, but at a run not a walk. I never do a cool down, I'm not a freaking race horse.
Which is worse: emptying the dishwasher or filling it? I think emptying it is so much more tiresome.
