I already have a pretty bad case of baby fever (I would totally be pregnant already if it wasn't for the calm reasoning of my wise husband), but now I have a raging case of puppy fever. I know it's a pain with house breaking and the endless chewing, but I want another dog! Jeff isn't really on board with it yet, so I'll have to wait until he is, but spending 2 days with a puppy was great! Except for the 11 times he peed in the house, I could have done without that. We were lucky with Peanut. She's a bad dog in many ways, but she never once pooped inside and was peeing outside only within a week of getting her.
I had a fantastic run today. We didn't go until 1pm, which is strange for me since I
never workout in the afternoon, only the mornings. It's a beautiful 60 degrees and sunny today and it was perfect running weather. We ran mostly on gravel dirt roads by horse farms and it was nice to have a change of footing. We did the 8 miles in 1:15 (9:26 average pace) and chatted the whole time.
Poor Faith had another rough night with teething last night. She woke up with painful cries at 1:30am and I gave her some Tylenol and she settled back down until 6:30am. I seem to have lost my ability to fall back asleep after getting up in the middle of the night. It took me over 2 hours to fall back asleep!

| I would keep you up too |
Jeff's parents are driving down for lunch tomorrow, so Faith gets a double dose of grandma love this weekend. I'm planning on doing a quick 6 mile run after church tomorrow before they come and I hope it's as nice outside tomorrow as it is today!
I hope it's beautiful weather where you are!
aw....i think i always have puppy fever!
ReplyDeleteWhat an ADORABLE puppy, Kara!
ReplyDeleteI feel ya on baby fever FOR SURE!!! However, I know I absolutely could not manage two this young. No way. I need a few years in between.
ReplyDeleteawww, precious!! I've been having crazy puppy-fever, too! We really don't have room (or time!) for a new pup, but it doesn't stop me from dreaming : )
ReplyDeleteI had a major case of puppy fever a few months ago! I was glad that I took a few weeks to "sleep on it" before we jumped right in. We decided not to get a dog - I think I would be an absolute crazy lady if we had gotten one! I can't imagine having two dogs and a baby!!
ReplyDeleteI go back and forth on baby fever all the time. Part of me really wants a baby and then the other part of me is so grossed out over things like barf, poop, breastfeeding, etc. And the thought of our lives changing so dramatically. I don't know. I keep saying "plenty of time" but 27 is right around the corner and I always thought i'd be a mom by now.
ReplyDeleteMy husband is standing over my shoulder saying "I want a dog! That blog title is the best ever!" :-)
ReplyDeleteThat puppy is too cute!!! I have a pretty bad case of puppy fever too :-) Luckily it is beautiful here, I hope you have another great run tomorrow!
